Mr. Scott has worked as a law clerk to a Juvenile Court Judge, associate in a small firm, government lawyer, and as a solo practitioner. Mr. Scott is admitted to all State and Federal courts in Louisiana, as well as the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals.

Mr. Scott has taught continuing legal education courses in juvenile and criminal law, as well as written various articles on criminal law , written various articles on criminal law for the Baton Rouge Bar Journal and Louisiana State Bar Journal. He has also instructed volunteers for Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA), serves as an assistant Bar Examination grader, and served as a guest speaker on family and criminal law issues for local educators and bar associations.

Prior to attending law school, Mr. Scott worked in advertising as a copywriter and print buyer, a parochial school teacher, and as a manager in civil service. Mr. Scott experience in organizations large and small, as a small business owner, and as a father and husband give him a well-rounded perspective on the legal issues faced by his clients. He is married to the former MaryJo McConnell, and is the father of William and Lauren Scott.
